General Information FAQs

Park model, park home or park cabin?
The legal definition is "recreational park trailer". Obviously we prefer to call them something other than trailers. The primary concern of meeting this definition is the limitation of 400 square feet of living space. We do however; have the luxury of discretion on its design. Let us build one for you!

I've been reading about park models and park trailers a lot lately. How long have people been building these large seasonal units?
Park trailers, or park models, have been manufactured since the middle 70's. The first park trailers were mainly sold in the southern states, mostly in Florida, where there was a great demand for these large seasonal trailers.

Where can I put my recreational park trailer?
They can be located on your own land, or in existing campgrounds and resorts around the United States. Contact your local zoning office to determine if your land allows a travel trailer.

Is a recreational park trailer or cabin a permanent residence?
No. A park home is designed specifically for mobility and to use as temporary seasonal lodging.
